  1. How tall and can it live in winter temperatures in Tennessee of zero degrees sometimes? How tall does it get?

    • They are borderline in zone 7 where you’re at. They would need some occasional winter protection below the high single digits. They are fairly tough palms though, so they can handle some pretty severe cold spells.

      Chilean Wine palms can get pretty tall, however they are extremely slow growing and take decades to reach their average size of 50-60 feet. I would get one that is already several years old to get a head start. I’ve been growing a couple from seed and in 4 years they are only about a foot tall!
